Unexpected declaration of love to Kate Middleton during an official visit
After 14 years of marriage and more than 20 years together, Prince William is still publicly declaring his love for Kate Middleton . His recent visit to North Wales on November 25th is a testament to this. Was it because they were near where they lived during the first five years of their marriage, or because it was close to the anniversary of their engagement, announced on November 16, 2010 ? Whatever the reason (and does one really need to be explained?), the Prince of Wales’s gesture towards his wife was touching.
“An even better woman”
The heir to the throne was visiting young people at the Youth Shedz Cymru shelter, founded by Scott Jenkinson, a former homeless drug addict. According to journalist Rebecca English, during a conversation with Jenkinson and his wife, he told William that it was “with the support of (his) wife” that he had managed to get his life back on track. To which the heir to the throne immediately replied: “That’s it! Behind every ordinary man is an even better woman.”
A couple inseparable
The Prince of Wales’s statement is very similar to the saying that “behind every great man there is a woman.” Kate, however, doesn’t hide, and her husband makes no secret of the support she gives him. In an interview with Madame Figaro , journalist Marc Roche, author of *My Life Among the Windsors*, described Kate and William as a “close-knit couple ,” a “tandem,” adding that “William asks ‘Where’s my wife?’ twenty times a day.” Regarding Kate, he even defined her as “the power behind the heir to the throne.” A power temporarily weakened by the cancer she battled in 2024. All of this certainly warranted a tribute.

MrBeast is opening his own theme park this week in Riyadh
YouTube sensation MrBeast, known globally for his high-stakes challenges and record-breaking philanthropy, has taken his empire from screens to real life with the launch of his own theme park, Beast Land, set to open in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 13, 2025.
American YouTuber MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has announced that he will be opening his own theme park this week.
Worth $85million (£64.5m), and with 450million subscribers on YouTube, Jimmy is the world’s richest and biggest YouTuber.
And he’s about to get even more powerful once he opens his new theme park, Beast Land, on November 13 in Saudi Arabia.
Known for controversial stunts involving eye-popping prizes, Jimmy said Beast Land will not be a ‘typical theme park’.
He shared a post on X on November 6, which reads: ‘Next week, Beast Land, our brand new theme park, opens!
‘We built custom games modelled after our videos that don’t exist ANYWHERE else and will have the world’s largest prize wall.’
At one of the games called ‘Tower Siege’, visitors must load balls into catapults, which then have to land in giant 18 metre tubes for points.
In an attraction called ‘Drop Zone’, six people stand on trap doors – a button then lights up in front of all the players, but the person who presses it last gets dropped. The last player remaining gets the most points.
Another of the main game-style attractions is ‘Airmail’, where visitors head off on a zip line with a weighted bag, which they must then drop on a target below.
The 27-year-old wrote: ‘I didn’t want this to be like a typical theme park.
‘Thought of things from first principles and created games I would love to play. Tons of original games created, plus, of course, we have rollercoasters and rides.’
When asked why he chose Saudi Arabia, the YouTuber responded that it is because the majority of his audience is outside of America and that he has a big Middle Eastern fan base.
He added: ‘Wanted to give them a chance to participate.’
Tickets range in price from $6.67 (£5.06), for admission only, to $66.40 (£50.41) for Beast Mode Plus, which includes access to all rides and attractions. The booking website shared by Donaldson also features flight options to Riyadh.
One X user commented: ‘That’s crazy, you’re just dropping theme parks seemingly out of nowhere. Beast Enterprises takes no days off.’
‘Why does it look like the set of American Gladiators?’ one user jested.
While immensely popular, especially among a younger audience, Donaldson has faced controversy.
Contestants on his Amazon game show filed a lawsuit alleging unsafe working conditions.
And some critics say his charitable videos are self-publicity dressed up as philanthropy.
It comes as the UK’s best value theme park is set to open all of its major rides over the Christmas period.

Rama Duwaji, New York’s Gen Z First Lady And Face Behind Mamdani’s Victory
After years, Gracie Mansion, the New York mayor’s official residence, will have a first lady. Rama Dwaji, the 28-year-old wife of New York’s mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani — who mostly opts to stay out of the spotlight — was on stage with him when he declared his victory over former governor Andrew Cuomo.
A Syrian-American artist and illustrator, Duwaji moved to the US in 2021 and married Mamdani in a City Hall ceremony earlier this year. US media credits her for being one of the people who helped build Mamdani’s brand identity when he first kicked off his campaign, including the bold iconography and font used on his yellow, orange and blue campaign materials.

Apart from being a major support in his private life, she is also credited with boosting her husband’s digital and large social media presence. However, despite her apparent backstage efforts, Duwaji has not appeared on joint television shows with Mamdani or agreed to a splashy magazine profile.
Even her Instagram page, where she promotes her artwork depicting Middle Eastern women and the plight of Palestinians, shows her apparent association withMamdani, apart from one carousel from the day of the June Democratic primary, where the couple feature together.
But with Mamdai’s victory on Tuesday, Duwaji too created history, becoming the first member of Gen Z to serve as New York City’s first lady.
Who Is Rama Duwaji?
The Dubai-educated Syrian-American is based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally listed on her Instagram as being from Damascus, her campaign says she is “ethnically Syrian” and was born in Texas.
She met Mamdani several years ago on the dating app Hinge. The couple held a private engagement and a Nikkah ceremony in Dubai in December 2024, followed by a wedding at the New York City Clerk’s office earlier this year.
“Rama isn’t just my wife; she’s an incredible artist who deserves to be known on her own terms,” Mamdani wrote in a May 12 post on Instagram, announcing they had been married three months earlier.
Duwaji earned a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work has been featured by The New Yorker, The Washington Post, BBC, Apple, Spotify, VICE, and the Tate Modern in London.
Duwaji became the first member of Gen Z to serve as New York City’s first lady.
